Design & Build Officer
Job Summary

The Design & Build Officer will be responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and supervising affordable housing projects from concept through completion while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural and engineering drawings.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate construction activities on site.
• Supervise contractors and construction teams.
• Ensure projects comply with building regulations and standards.
• Conduct site inspections and quality assurance checks.
• Monitor project progress and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
• Support value engineering and sustainable building initiatives.
• Ensure health and safety compliance on project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional registration with the relevant engineering or architectural body is an added advantage.
• Relevant experience in construction project management, design, or site supervision.
• Experience in affordable housing or sustainable construction is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar design software.
• Knowledge of construction methods and building regulations.
• Project planning and coordination.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
