About the Institution

UAE Agro-Export Enterprise is a newly established agricultural export company based in Uganda. The company specializes in sourcing, processing, packaging, and exporting fresh Ugandan fruits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It utilizes modern semi-automated grading, washing, and sealing equipment to scale export capacity.

Role Overview & Scope

The Packaging Machine Operator will oversee, run, and monitor specialized fruit processing and packaging machinery (including fruit washers, optical/weight sorters, heat sealers, and labeling equipment). This position ensures continuous output while maintaining equipment performance and facility safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate fruit washing, grading, boxing, and tray-sealing equipment.
• Monitor machine operations to detect jams, mechanical faults, or parameter deviations.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of processing machinery.
• Adjust line speeds and technical settings according to fruit types and export requirements.
• Follow strict health, safety, and operational standards during machinery operation.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Trades, or equivalent practical mechanical background.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years running processing or packaging machinery in a factory or agricultural plant.
• Skills: Mechanical aptitude, quick troubleshooting abilities, familiarity with line machinery, and high safety awareness.
