About the Institution

UAE Agro-Export Enterprise is a newly established agricultural export company based in Uganda. The company specializes in sourcing, processing, packaging, and exporting fresh Ugandan fruits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It relies on a strong logistics network to move produce seamlessly between regional farms, processing hubs, and export shipping terminals.

Position Overview

The Commercial Driver will operate company trucks or delivery vans to transport bulk produce safely from regional farms to packaging facilities, and onward to airport cargo terminals or logistics depots. The role requires reliable delivery schedules to maintain cold-chain and product freshness.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive light and heavy commercial vehicles safely across long-distance regional and urban routes.
• Inspect cargo loading to ensure correct weight distribution, cargo strapping, and cooling protection.
• Manage delivery manifests, bill of lading paperwork, and gate clearance documentation.
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle checks (fluids, brakes, tires, cooling units) and log maintenance records.
• Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws, speed limits, and defensive driving safety practices.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid Ugandan Commercial Driving Permit (Class CH, DL, or CM depending on vehicle rating).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience handling commercial freight or perishable cargo.
• Skills: Strong route knowledge across Uganda, clean safety record, defense driving training, and basic vehicle repair skills.
