For cross-border B2B product and system delivery, SolutionMall needs strong logistics and customs clearance support in East Africa, including international freight coordination, port clearance, import documentation, warehouse coordination, inland transportation, and final delivery to customers or project sites.

2. Role Overview

We are looking for a Logistics & Customs Clearance Manager – East Africa to support SolutionMall’s logistics, customs clearance, and domestic delivery operations for B2B products and system packages entering East African markets.

This role is suitable for professionals with experience in international logistics, customs clearance, freight forwarding, port operations, import/export documentation, warehouse coordination, trucking, inland transportation, supply chain coordination, or project-based logistics support.

The main focus is to coordinate shipments arriving at major East African ports, airports, customs points, and inland logistics hubs; support import documentation; follow up on customs clearance; coordinate freight forwarders and customs brokers; and support domestic logistics from port or warehouse to customer sites.

This is a logistics and project delivery support role focused on B2B products, system packages, customs clearance, international freight, and East Africa domestic delivery.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Support customs clearance and logistics coordination across East African markets.
• Coordinate shipments through major ports, airports, and logistics hubs, including Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Kampala, Kigali, and other relevant locations.
• Follow up on sea freight, air freight, truck transportation, express shipment, and multimodal logistics options where applicable.
• Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, clearing agents, warehouses, transport companies, suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Support import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, air waybills, certificates of origin, HS codes, duties, taxes, permits, and customs declaration requirements.
• Coordinate local delivery, including port-to-warehouse delivery, warehouse storage, inland trucking, cross-border transport, and final delivery to customers or project sites.
• Track shipment status, clearance progress, delivery timelines, abnormal logistics issues, documentation problems, customs risks, and cost changes.
• Collect feedback on local customs requirements, clearance procedures, freight costs, warehouse conditions, inland transportation timelines, and local delivery challenges.

4. Qualifications

Required

3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

• East Africa customs clearance
• Freight forwarding
• International logistics
• Import/export operations
• Port or airport logistics
• Clearing agent coordination
• Warehouse and distribution coordination
• Domestic trucking or inland transportation
• Cross-border cargo movement
• B2B project product delivery
• Supply chain or project logistics coordination

Familiar with import/export documentation, shipment tracking, customs clearance workflows, freight forwarder coordination, clearing agent communication, and logistics issue handling.

Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, clearing agents, warehouses, trucking companies, customers, and internal teams.

Working proficiency in English.

Preferred

• Existing freight forwarding, customs clearance, clearing agent, warehouse, trucking, or port logistics resources in East Africa
• Experience with major East African logistics corridors, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan, or neighboring markets
• Experience with B2B project products, industrial equipment, commercial equipment, electrical products, IT/IoT products, healthcare products, education equipment, communication equipment, or system package delivery
• Familiarity with HS code checking, import permits, tax/VAT procedures, product certificates, inspection requirements, or country-specific import compliance documents
• Experience with delivery to project sites, commercial facilities, warehouses, distributors, NGOs, government projects, or enterprise customers
• Chinese communication ability is preferred for coordination with suppliers and factories in China
