About the Role

Twyford International Uganda is seeking a passionate and results-oriented Talent Development & Employee Engagement Supervisor to support employee growth, organizational culture, and workforce capability development. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating learning and development initiatives, implementing annual training plans, promoting employee engagement programs, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

This role is critical in building a skilled, motivated, and high-performing workforce that supports the company's operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Learning and Development

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs that address organizational and departmental learning needs.
  • Prepare training materials, presentations, manuals, and other learning resources.
  • Facilitate employee induction and orientation programs for new hires.
  • Coordinate internal and external training sessions and monitor training effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate training records and learning databases.

Training Plan Implementation

  • Support the development and execution of the company's annual training and development plan.
  • Ensure all employees receive mandatory training on company policies, procedures, workplace safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor training participation and completion rates across all departments.
  • Evaluate training outcomes and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

Employee Engagement and Company Culture

  • Develop and implement employee engagement programs that enhance motivation, teamwork, and employee satisfaction.
  • Organize employee events, recognition programs, team-building activities, and company celebrations.
  • Promote company values, culture, and positive workplace behaviors.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen employee morale and organizational commitment.

Employee Wellness and Welfare

  • Coordinate employee wellness, health, safety, and welfare programs.
  • Support initiatives that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Identify opportunities to improve employee welfare and workplace experience.
  • Work closely with department managers to address employee engagement and retention challenges.

Training Reporting and Analysis

  • Compile, analyze, and prepare departmental training reports and learning metrics.
  • Track training budgets, attendance, completion rates, and effectiveness indicators.
  • Provide recommendations based on training needs assessments and performance trends.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with department heads to identify skill gaps and training needs.
  • Support managers in developing employee growth and succession plans.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues on talent management and organizational development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Human Resources, or Employee Engagement.
  • Experience coordinating employee training programs and development initiatives.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent training facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to engage and motivate diverse employee groups.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills for evaluating training effectiveness and employee engagement metrics.
  • Creativity in designing learning and engagement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and talent development practices is an added advantage.
