Reports to: - Production Manager
Location: Mukono
Key responsibilities:
- Operate 5PLY TCY / BHS / HSIES HSU Corrugation Machines
- Monitoring machine parameters such as speed, temperature, and glue application to optimize performance.
- Inspecting board quality at different stages of production to ensure strength, bonding, and accuracy.
- Monitor output and quality on job wise and make an entry for the checklist.
- Ensure quality products are produced and meet customer specifications.
- Improved packaging-related engineering changes to meet customer requirements and improve production efficiency.
- Performing cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance of machines to avoid breakdowns.
- Communicating effectively with operators, helpers, and quality control teams for workflow alignment.
- Handling manpower and allocating work accordingly.
- Training operators and helpers on machine operation, safety standards, and quality procedures.
- Ensure that the shift production plan is completed with optimum utilization of man and machine.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, including daily corrugation downtime reports, glue reports, and records of paper waste details data to ensure high accuracy of flow and quality.
- Leading daily meeting with corrugation team members to review progress and resolve issues.
- Promoting teamwork and coordinating with cross-functional departments to achieve production goals.
Qualifications and experience required
- A relevant. Diploma / S.C.F.T.E.V.T Certification from a recognised Institution.
- At least 5-8 years’ experience in operating Corrugation machines in a corrugated manufacturing industry
- Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel & power point and ERP system
