Job Purpose
The Secondary Teacher will deliver rigorous, subject-specific instructions to secondary-level students, preparing them for key national and international examinations while fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality lessons in designated subject areas (e.g., Sciences, Mathematics, Humanities, Languages) aligned with international (Cambridge/IB) or national (UNEB) curricula.
- Design, administer, and evaluate diagnostic assessments, mock exams, and term papers to track academic excellence.
- Guide and mentor students in research projects, laboratory work, and practical subject applications.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting academic integrity and mutual respect.
- Provide career and academic guidance to students preparing for tertiary education.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in Education, or a specialized subject field paired with a registered teaching certificate/license.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of secondary school teaching experience, preferably within an international or top-performing national school system.
- Strong subject matter expertise, including a deep familiarity with relevant exam board syllabi.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and digital instructional skills.
