Sogea-Satom is a major international engineering and construction firm and a prominent subsidiary of France’s VINCI Construction. Operating across more than 20 African nations, the company specializes in complex civil engineering, road networks, earthworks, and large-scale hydraulic infrastructure.
Job Summary: The African Builders Program prepares you for a career as an HSE Manager by offering you the opportunity to explore various activities related to road construction, civil engineering, and hydraulics. Hired on a permanent contract, you will carry out diverse missions within our projects across the African continent, allowing you to acquire rich technical and operational experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a true leader, you will be expected to work independently on medium-sized projects or as part of a team on a large project.
- You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Sogea-Satom’s rules regarding safety, environment, hygiene, and quality.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- You hold a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in QHSE (engineering school or university) and are looking for your first permanent position.
- Ideally, you have some initial experience on a construction site or in the mining sector (internship and/or apprenticeship).
Joining the African Builders Program requires:
- Mandatory geographical mobility at the end of each period on the African continent
- Strong adaptability: in 3 years, you will have 3 different geographical assignments and several job roles, meaning you will need to learn about a variety of different contexts and teams.
- Proactive approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills. You will be in daily contact with the teams on site, HSE, your Branch Manager, the client, other Graduate Program participants, etc.
- A passion for teamwork: this is essential; you will never work alone.
