| Job Description | Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is the largest African Coca-Cola bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. In Uganda, we are currently seeking to recruit a Maintenance Planner, based at our Namanve Plant in Kampala.As a Maintenance Planner, you will report directly to the Packaging Engineer. Key Purpose Statement. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for managing maintenance systems, developing and executing effective maintenance schedules, and supporting plant reliability to ensure maximum line availability, operational efficiency, and cost optimization. |
| Key Duties & Responsibilities | Key Outputs and Accountabilities.- Maintenance Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance plans, ensuring resources,tools, and spares are available.
- Asset Management & Reliability: Support implementation of asset management strategies to maximize equipment reliability and plant availability.
- Optimized Spare Parts Inventory Levels: Conduct spare consumption analysis (repetitive failures, abnormal usage trends) and improve inventory turnover without risking stockouts.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive problem-solving initiatives (e.g., 5 Whys, downtime analysis) to reduce breakdowns and improve operational efficiency.
- Breakdown & Work Order Management: Coordinate corrective maintenance activities, raise work orders, and ensure timely closure and accurate reporting.
- Engineering Change Control: Initiate, track, and close engineering changes in MSD, ensuring proper documentation and execution.
- Safety, Quality & Compliance: Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety (FSSC), EOSH standards, and risk management requirements.

| Skills, Experience & Education | Qualifications Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical, or Process Engineering. Experience • Minimum Three (3) years working relevant experience within an FMCG environment with at least (2) years’ experience in manufacturing/ maintenance engineering (with supervisory exposure). • MSD and MS Office proficiency. • Experience in a packaging/manufacturing environment is an added advantage.Competencies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent planning and organizational ability. • High level of attention to detail and quality focus. • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Results-driven with strong execution discipline. • Innovative thinking with continuous improvement mindset. |
