JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE:
COORDINATE AND OVERSEE ALL JOINT VENTURE (JV) ASPECTS OF UGANDA NATIONAL OIL COMPANY’S (UNOC) OPERATED AND NON-OPERATED ASSETS ACROSS THE OIL AND GAS VALUE CHAIN.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Coordinate and represent UNOC across all Joint Ventures (JV) and Government Technical, Financial and Operational meetings.
- Ensure all JV decisions and approvals are obtained in a timely manner and properly documented, including approval of expenditure, annual work programme & budgets.
- Ensure all reporting requirements under the Joint Operators Agreement (JOAs), Production Sharing Agreements (PSAs and other JV Agreements by Operator/Contractor are satisfied.
- Support the Joint Venture Unit in designing, implementing and coordinating JV management processes within UNOC.
- Ensure adherence to the terms of the JOAs, PSAs and other JV Agreements, as well as with UNOC procedures and ways of working.
- Interface with UNOC’s Corporate Functions and subsidiaries (NPC, URHC) to coordinate UNOC’s engagement strategy with JV Partners across the value chain.
- Work closely with Head Joint Ventures and other Corporate Functions to develop operational procedures, communication with JV Partners, monitoring systems and any other process as applicable.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Joint Venture partners to foster effective collaboration and communication.
- Information Coordination and Decision Support: Ensure the timely and comprehensive submission of required information from Joint Venture Partners to enable thorough analysis and well-informed decision-making within the organization.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s).
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Engineering, Geosciences, Legal, Business & Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline from a recognized University
Knowledge and Experience
- Must have at least four (4) years of sound technical or business professional working experience in Energy, Oil and Gas, Mining, Financial Services, or any other relevant industry.
- Experience in the oil & gas sector and/or global energy markets is an added advantage.
- Experience in Project Interfaces, Contract Management or Stakeholder Coordination/Management responsibilities is an added advantage
