Sarovar Hotels is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and hardworking Housekeeper to join our team in Kampala. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests.

Responsibilities or duties

• Clean and service guest rooms, suites, and public areas to established standards.
• Change bed linens, towels, and replace amenities as required.
• Ensure all rooms are properly stocked with guest supplies and promotional materials.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost items to the supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping storage areas and equipment.
• Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene protocols at all times.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries with professionalism.
• Assist with laundry services and inventory management when required.
• Work collaboratively with other housekeeping and hotel staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

Qualifications or requirements 

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• The applicant should be comfortable working shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused.

Experience needed

• Previous experience working in a hospitality environment is an added advantage.
