JOB DETAILS:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and aesthetic appeal in guest rooms and public areas. This role is crucial for ensuring guest satisfaction and upholding the property’s reputation for quality and comfort.

Responsibilities or duties

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to standard operating procedures, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Maintain the cleanliness of corridors, lobbies, elevators, and other public spaces.
• Restock guest room amenities and supplies (soap, shampoo, towels, stationery). Report low inventory levels to the supervisor.
• Report and record any lost and found items immediately to the housekeeping office.
• Identify and report any maintenance issues or damage in guest rooms (e.g., broken fixtures, faulty lights) to the engineering department.
• Respond to guest requests for extra amenities (e.g., pillows, blankets, cribs) in a timely and courteous manner.
• Manage the collection and distribution of soiled and clean linens.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to handle laundry equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, physical stamina to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs, and a reliable, punctual nature.

Experience needed

• Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
