About Organisation:

Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In charge of overall administration and management of the school;
  • Plan for physical development of the School and Professional development of the staff;
  • Plan, organize, direct and co-ordinate the teaching programmes and activities of staff and learners;
  • Ensure proper planning, budgeting and accountability for the school activities and resources in consultation with the Management Committee/Board of Governors;
  • Co-ordinate the functions of the Management Committee/Board of Governors and accounts to them and the Ministry of Education and Sports;
  • Initiate development of projects for the school and mobilize resources for their implementation.
  • Supervise and appraise all the employees of the school/Institution and assess their performance;
  • Direct activities concerning student admissions, provision of supplies and welfare services;
  • Participate in the implementation of the Education Sector reforms related to Primary Education;
  • Prepare progress and summary reports for presentation and submission to the Management Committee Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and Ministry of Education and Sports;- Plan and chair meetings on the school.
  • Perform any other duty assigned by the relevant authority.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Primary) from recognized Institution/University.
  • Registered as a Graduate Teacher by the Ministry of Education and Sports.
  • A minimum of twelve (12) years teaching experience, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Substantive Deputy Head teacher (Primary).
