About Organisation:
Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is a private, not-for-profit, non-denominational international development agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). AKF works in collaboration with partners to develop and promote innovative solutions that help improve the quality of life of communities in areas we work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a Driver , you will perform your duties under the close supervision of the HR & Admin. Assistant. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Safely and efficiently operate the organization vehicles to designated locations as per the AKF policies and procedures.
- Handle various communications e.g. Incoming and outgoing mails, and other correspondences, and follow for action as may be assigned from time to time.
- Ensure valid insurance, license and inspection documents are always available in vehicles.
- Coordinate all official trips for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain vehicles in top-notch condition through regular inspections and upkeep.
- Provide regular reports on vehicle maintenance and fuel consumption.
- Always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid driver’s license permit appropriate to the vehicle class driven, with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of Advanced Level and Ordinary Level education.
- At least 3 years of proven experience of driving in an office or organizational setting.
- Defensive driving certification is an added advantage.
- Basic computer literacy, including the ability to participate in organizational online trainings, respond to emails and perform simple data entry, is an added advantage.
- Ability to read to read road signs and communicate effectively.
- Strong accountability, interpersonal skills and working collaboratively with the internal project team and non-project partners.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the local language.
- Strong team player, creative and problem-solving skill.
