JOB DETAILS:

Background

Hugamara Group is looking for a Chief Finance Officer in Kampala to provide strategic financial leadership, drive profitability, and oversee financial operations across our business units!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Group’s financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership while driving cost control and profitability improvement across all units.
• Oversee tax compliance, statutory obligations, audits, financial risk management, and internal governance frameworks.
• Lead the Finance Department and oversee inventory controls, procurement financial oversight, and asset management processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (ACCA Level 3 completed or CPA(U) highly preferred; Master’s/MBA is a plus).
• 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in Finance leadership roles (e.g., CFO, Head of Finance, or Finance Director).
• Strong knowledge of financial systems, taxation, and compliance; experience in hospitality, multi-branch operations, retail, or FMCG is an added advantage!
