About Organisation:
Diamond Trust Bank Uganda is a full-fledged commercial Bank with a network of 40 branches and 36 ATM locations in major Ugandan urban centers and still growing. The bank is also an affiliate of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) which is the economic development arm of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
Job Summary: Treasury is the financial heartbeat and a major profit center of the Bank. The Treasury Sales Officer will therefore contribute to the profitable operations of the department by providing new FX client leads, create sales strategies, as well as building a sustainable treasury customer base that will help achieve set personal and department profit targets.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Building and growing a sustainable FX customer base for the bank.
- General understanding of Government securities to actively market and sell them.
- Ensuring daily set personal profit targets and cumulative monthly FX targets are achieved.
- Cross selling of other bank products that will contribute to the overall growth of the banks’ balance sheet.
- Quoting rates to the DTB Uganda branches for amounts more than the counter limit and taking acceptable margins.
- Servicing currency requirements for DTB Uganda Corporate & Retail clients who call in from time to time.
- Drawing practical treasury sales strategies, to guide the rest of the team in achieving overall department goals.
- Gathering and disseminating of market intelligence to help the treasury team in maintaining a competitive edge in the market.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or professional banking qualification.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Professional ACI dealing certificate is a must.
- Fair knowledge of Banking products.
- Computer Literate.
Experience
- Two years progressive experience in a similar position.
- A thorough understanding of the local financial services industry.
- Knowledge of foreign exchange markets.
- Good analytical skills and ability to make speedy and accurate decisions under pressure.
