JOB DETAILS:

The Senior Relationship Officer will develop and maintain proactive customer advisory relationships, focusing on consultative selling and structuring investment solutions for potential or existing customers. The role aims to meet set targets, service standards, and the strategic objectives of Centenary Bank.

Key Responsibilities

1. Selling

  • Drive and monitor the growth of the Investment Club portfolio to achieve set targets.
  • Develop a standard value proposition aligned with customer business needs.
  • Identify and onboard business partners to enhance the Investment Club portfolio.
  • Market products and guide branches on potential pipelines.
  • Maintain an updated customer database and prepare periodic business reports (weekly, monthly, annual).

2. Strategy

  • Contribute to the design and formulation of the Investment Club strategy.
  • Define and implement strategies to acquire, grow, and retain customer portfolios.

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Provide high-quality, timely service to clients, addressing requests and maintaining direct engagement.
  • Conduct periodic client visits to understand business needs and build loyalty.
  • Manage and grow an assigned client portfolio, promoting SME products and identifying business opportunities.
  • Ensure processes align with bank standards for quality and profitability.
  • Offer financial advisory services to clients.

4. Client Monitoring

  • Regularly monitor client account performance (e.g., financial metrics) and take corrective actions to meet objectives.

5. Risk, Control, and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Conduct KYC procedures per compliance requirements.
  • Maintain proper records in line with financial legislation.
  • Recommend financing options to minimize risk exposure.

6. Research and Market Information

  • Leverage market trends to improve service efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Honors’ degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, or related field.
  • Preferred: Postgraduate qualification in business management, marketing, economics, or related disciplines.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years in corporate banking (credit, banking, marketing, or client relationship management).
    • At least 2 years at Supervisory/Senior Officer level.
