Job Summary:
The Senior Finance and Accounts Manager will oversee and assist the company’s finance and accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, all the required reconciliation in AP/AR and stock module, ensuring effective internal control, statutory compliance, and support for other ad hoc required functions of the department. This role requires hands-on expertise in both finance and accounting functions, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Managed day-to-day accounting operations and ensured timely and accurate financial entries
- Prepare and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under applicable accounting standards
- Working on general ledger, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and closing activities
- Ensure the accuracy of financial data and support internal and external reporting requirements
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Assist the Monitor in budget performance and provide detailed variance analysis
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making by management
3. Costing & Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate cost records and analyse cost trends across production and procurement
- Monitor inventory valuation, material consumption, and production overheads
- Review and validate standard costing models and ensure regular updates based on actual performance
4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns along with reconciliation with revenue authority
- Stay updated with tax law changes and apply them to business practices
- Support statutory, tax, and internal audits with complete and accurate documentation
5. Internal Controls & Audit Coordination
- Maintain and review the utilisation of internal control systems for financial operations and reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
- Coordinate with auditors and consultants during statutory and internal audits
6. Systems & Process Improvement
- Ensure efficient use of accounting and ERP systems for accurate reporting
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization in finance operations
- Support implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing platforms
Qualifications
- CA/CPA/MBA in Finance or equivalent preferred
- Master’s/bachelor’s degree in finance and Accounts
- 5–7yearsofexperience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in the same role
- Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or food & beverage company preferred
- Strong command of accounting software (e.g., Tally, Sage, SAP) and MS Excel(Must)
