JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary: The Sales & Marketing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating sales, marketing, and distribution activities in the assigned region. The role combines sales supervision, ensuring efficient delivery of Ruko dairy products to customers and distributors while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational safety. The position is field-based and involves frequent travel to customer sites, sales outlets, and distribution points using company trucks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales Operations & Field Supervision

  • Implement daily and weekly sales plans as guided by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
  • Supervise and support sales and marketing assistants in achieving individual and regional sales targets.
  • Visit distributors, retailers, and key customers to ensure product visibility, stock rotation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive company trucks to deliver products safely and efficiently to customers and distribution points.
  • Ensure products are properly loaded, transported, and offloaded with no damage or loss.
  • Track daily product movement and report sales trends, stock levels, and customer orders.
  • Coordinate timely delivery of products from the factory to assigned outlets.

Market Development & Customer Relations

  • Identify and develop new customers, distributors, and sales outlets within the assigned region.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure continuous order flow and loyalty.
  • Collect and report customer feedback, including product performance, pricing, and service quality.
  • Resolve field-level customer concerns and escalate complex issues to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Marketing & Promotion Activities

  • Execute field marketing campaigns, activations, and promotional events as directed by management.
  • Distribute and ensure visibility of marketing materials such as banners, posters, and displays.
  • Participate in trade shows, product launches, and exhibitions to promote brand awareness.
  • Monitor promotional effectiveness and suggest improvements for future campaigns.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily and weekly sales and field activity reports.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel usage records, and route documentation.
  • Keep updated customer and distributor records, including contacts and transaction histories.
  • Submit all reports promptly to the Sales and Marketing Manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or any related field.
  • (Additional certification in Sales Management, Customer Relations, or Marketing is an added advantage.)
  • 2–3 years of experience in field sales and marketing, preferably in FMCG or dairy product distribution.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to supervise field teams and meet sales targets.
  • Safe truck driving and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Good knowledge of distribution routes and regional markets.
  • Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, Email).
