JOB DETAILS:

MANAGER, SALES & MARKETING at Ultra Uganda Ltd

Job Purpose:
The job holder is responsible for securing new business, following up on regular flow of incoming leads and client prospects. The role encompasses activities beyond sales, including promoting brand visibility and creating strategic partnerships on behalf of the company.

Scope of Duties:

    • Collaborate with all departments to attract new business.
    • Develop new concepts and turn opportunities into product demands or winning contracts.
    • Explore and activate marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

Reporting Lines:
This position reports directly to the Marketing Director.

Extent of Authority:

  • Direct supervision over subordinates in the department.
  • Determines workload and task allocation.
  • Financial transactions handled according to the company’s authorization matrix.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualification & Experience:

  • University degree, preferably in Business (majoring in Marketing).
  • Solid knowledge in digital marketing.

Complementing Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of B2B selling and service-based marketing.
  • Working knowledge of business IT systems and CRM software.
  • Good knowledge of social media (mandatory).
  • Demonstrable experience in lead generation.
  • Strong passion for brands.
  • Persuasive and influential.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Marketing/Brands:

    1. Formulate and drive the marketing & digital strategy for Ultra Uganda to achieve business objectives.
    2. Design and implement effective marketing campaigns for digital, print, and events.

Sales:
3. Lead the sales team in developing and implementing the overall sales strategy for all product lines.
4. Secure new opportunities by building relationships with new/potential clients (e.g., Corporate institutions, Government agencies, Businesses).
5. Conduct regular training and product knowledge sessions.

Digital:
6. Plan social media content to ensure it is regular, relevant, and engaging, tailored to each platform.
7. Collaborate with agencies and media partners to ensure alignment and correct direction.
8. Oversee the company website(s) to maintain robustness and creative appeal.
