JOB DETAILS:

Our client - a leading retailer providing a wide range of power tools, hand tools, and related hardware products to customers across Uganda, with reliable delivery and dedicated customer support, is hiring! The Sales and Marketing Executive is responsible for day-to-day sales and customer care activities within the shop/store, as well as driving sales growth for the organisation. This role involves actively engaging with customers, making sales, preparing reports, and contributing to the development and implementation of sales and marketing initiatives to increase market share and brand visibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Provide excellent customer care service, ensuring customer satisfaction with the organisation products and services.

● Actively go to the field to make sales of the organisation tools and accessories, achieving and exceeding sales targets.

● Prepare daily sales reports, tax invoices, quotations, and record daily sales transactions

● Verify customer items and assist with weekly branch reports and monthly stock-taking.

● Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture key demographics for the organisation.

● Maintain sales volume and product mix by staying updated on supply and demand, market trends, economic indicators, and competitor activities.

● Analyze sales trends, data, demographics, and pricing strategies to improve sales performance.

● Provide on-the-ground support to customers, generating leads and closing deals for the organisation products.

● Contribute to establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas, projecting sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

● Manage and increase engagement, follows, likes, and other interactions on the company website and social media platforms

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

● Minimum qualification of a Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Customer Care, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other relevant field.

● 2+ years of work experience in sales and customer care, preferably in the hardware, tools, or related industry.

● Excellent selling, customer care, communication, and negotiation skills.

● Ability to handle customers in a professional manner.

● Driven, able to take initiative, and utilize time efficiently to meet deadlines effectively.

● Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations of products.

● Previous sales and customer care experience in a team environment.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

● Sales Turnover from goods sold (monthly/quarterly).

● Customer Traffic to the shops.

● Customer satisfaction with minimum complaints.

● Dealer/Retailer/Agent Recruitment (if applicable).

● Product Mix Sales (balancing sales across different the organisation product categories).

● Lead Generation and Conversion Rate.
