Job Overview:
The Quality Inspector applies their conceptual knowledge of inspection and, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward inspection problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the Company, Processes, and Customers. The Quality Inspector understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Determine product conformity to customer specifications through daily surveillances and ITP inspection points in accordance with the Project Quality Plan
- Identify non-conformity for rectification and ensure final resolution
- Appraise product quality to determine conformity and non-conformity in accordance with the approved drawings and inspection & Test Plan; All inspection results need to be documented, and if non-conformity exists, documentation shall be raised to establish corrective action
- Coordinate interface with Operations, Certifying Authority, Client, Job Sharing personnel, and subcontractor, assuring the conformity to project specifications
- Exercise a proactive approach to the prevention of a problem by interacting with Production, Engineers, and Management personnel
- Liaise with customer representatives, ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted within the Project Quality Plan/ITP
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- High school diploma or degree in relevant field of study
- 5+ years of Quality Control or discipline-related experience with a degree and 8+ with a diploma
- Proficient in the use of computer and Microsoft programs
