Job Summary
Reporting to chief miller/header miller and responsible for implementing, controlling, and providing factual analytical findings for all samples, as per Quality control operations and development in order to meet agreed on organizational performance goals within agreed budgets and timescales.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Receiving, sampling, and analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediate, bulk, and finished products.
• Process monitoring of products, analysis of raw material, and finished products.
• Providing accurate information/analytical results leading to sound decisions on the approval or rejection of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediate bulk, and finished products.
• Handling of non-conforming/reworks products
• Diligently implementing all approved documentation.
• Effectively implementing all approved procedures of sampling, specifications, analysis, and reporting for all samples.
• Carrying out environmental controls, production process hygiene, staff use of PPE’s and keeping clean records.
• Maintaining in a good state, the general laboratory premises, reagents, documents, and equipment including the general laboratory cleanliness.
• Validation of production processes, quality control procedures, and calibration of equipment and maintenance of their records.
• Implementing all the aspects of Quality control systems, food safety management systems, and associated documentation with regard to GMP, HACCP, etc
• Any other responsibility as may be assigned from time
Keys skills and Qualifications
• Degree in food science and technology or related field
• Diploma in food science and technology with 2 years relevant experience in an FMCG manufacturing facility.
• Knowledge of MS office
• Great attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate commitment to high professional ethical standards and honesty ∙ Be a team player
Added advantage
• Knowledge of ISO 22000 2005 standards and FSMS
• 3 years’ experience in grain and flour milling.
