The Program Officer will play a key role in the implementation and coordination of community-based programs in the thematic areas of religious support, peacebuilding and advocacy, and climate-smart agriculture. Job Description/Requirements
a) Needs Assessment & Planning
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments within target communities to inform program design and implementation.
- Support the development of action plans based on identified community needs.
b) Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and engage with collaborating schools, community leaders, local authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation in stakeholder and partner meetings.
c) Capacity Building
- Organise and facilitate training sessions and workshops for teachers, community-based facilitators, and beneficiaries across project areas.
- Provide ongoing mentorship and technical support to community actors.
d) Beneficiary Engagement & Group Formation
- Hold regular monthly and quarterly meetings with beneficiaries to track progress and gather feedback.
- Facilitate the formation and strengthening of participant groups to enhance community participation and ownership.
e) Program Monitoring & Evaluation
- Carry out routine monitoring and evaluation activities to assess program performance and impact.
- Collect, analyse, and report data to support adaptive management and learning.
f) Documentation & Reporting
- Draft and document success stories and impact narratives from the field.
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly progress reports and contribute to quarterly and annual reports.
