Job Description:

You’ll play a crucial role in building and maintaining a comprehensive furniture database that directly impacts daily operations across the entire organization. This position offers the perfect blend of detailed work and meaningful contribution, where your accuracy and efficiency will help transform raw product information into a structured, searchable system. You’ll work independently with flexible scheduling while handling substantial volumes of furniture data that will be used company-wide.

Hourly Rate: The equivalent of US$ 6.8 per hour in the applicant’s local currency

Number of Paid Hours Per Week: 40h per week

Schedule: 100% flexible - be a few hours available during EST time (New York, USA)

Work Arrangement: Work from home

Contract: Independent Contractor

Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

  • Process PDF documents containing furniture specifications and convert them into structured digital entries
  • Write detailed furniture descriptions based on provided documentation and specifications
  • Categorize and classify furniture pieces by type, style, and functional categories
  • Research and input accurate vendor information for each furniture piece
  • Source and verify URLs for product imagery and visual references
  • Maintain consistent data formatting and quality standards across all entries
  • Handle large-volume data entry projects ranging from hundreds to thousands of pieces
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Work within the company’s internal portal system using provided login credentials

Requirements

  • Proven experience with high-volume data entry and web-based portal systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing large datasets
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on project-based timelines
  • Experience extracting and organizing information from PDF documents
  • Basic knowledge of furniture types, categories, and industry terminology
  • Reliable internet connection and computer setup for remote work
  • Bonus if you have experience with furniture, interior design, or product catalog management
  • It helps if you’re comfortable with flexible scheduling and results-oriented work environments
