Description

Manage an appropriate end-user support model in accordance with ITIL practices and will be responsible for the Service Desk team from 1st level support onwards (including end-user support).
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network, server, and storage systems.
- Ensure high availability (24x7) through monitoring, proactive maintenance, and managing major incident responses.
- Mentor, manage, and develop IT staff, setting performance goals.
- Implement cybersecurity measures in coordination with Cyber Security Lead, maintain compliance (e.g., ISO 27001), and manage backup/DR plans.
- Manage IT infrastructure budgets, procurement, and manage vendor SLAs.
- Drive on-prem infrastructure modernization, cloud strategy, and automation initiatives.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of critical IT assets, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Ensure maximum system uptime through proactive monitoring, incident response, and performance tuning.
- Lead and develop the team of IT professionals, providing technical guidance, setting performance goals, and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Direct infrastructure projects from inception to completion, such as cloud migrations, network upgrades, or data center consolidations.
- Completing infrastructure transformations on time and within budget.
- Implement cybersecurity measures, manage backups, and maintain tested disaster recovery (DR).
- Success of backup integrity tests and the remediation of discovered vulnerabilities
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiate service-level agreements (SLAs), and oversee the annual IT operations budget.
- Drive operational efficiency through automation (e.g., scripting, Infrastructure-as-Code) and the adoption of ITIL best practices.
System Availability:
- Maintaining agreed-upon uptime percentages (e.g., "three nines" or 99.9%).
- Speed and effectiveness of restoring services during outages.
Documentation:
- Maintain IT OPS procedures, and related documents.
- Any other system requirements/task as requested, assigned and agreed.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related acceptable qualification.
- Highly valued credentials include ITIL v4 and CCNA or cloud-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure).
- 5+ years in IT infrastructure management, including experience leading teams.
- Knowledge of applications and infrastructure design methodologies.
- Know-how of the following frameworks is a benefit: COBIT5, ITIL v4, AGILE, NIST or Microsoft Azure.

- Identification of the entire end to end IT infrastructure stack and the documentation of said stack – numbers of devices, device locations, model types, architectures across the stack, etc.
- Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and hardware.
- Proficiency in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell).
- Deep knowledge of network infrastructure, virtualization, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and operating systems.
- Knowledge around specific technologies like Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, EMC, HPE, IBM, etc.
- Be conversant with the latest technological trends / best practice requirements.
- Broad knowledge of applications and infrastructure design, security best practices for infrastructure.
- Strong incident management, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
- Infrastructure and information architecture for planning for various systems.
- System and Network automation skills, e.g. Git, Ansible, Terraform.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools, e.g. Zabbix, Prometheus.
