Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Studio & Equipment Management
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot studio and field production equipment, following a documented maintenance schedule.
- Manage cameras, lighting systems, audio equipment, teleprompters, and recording devices, including a clear booking/checkout system for shared kit.
- Ensure equipment is functional, secure, and properly stored.
- Maintain an up-to-date equipment inventory and usage log.
Production Support
- Support filming of documentaries, interviews, television programs, podcasts, and digital content.
- Set up recording environments and ensure professional audio-visual quality.
- Assist production teams during field assignments and studio productions.
- Manage data storage, backups, and media archiving systems.
Photography, Videography & Editing
- Capture high-quality photographs and video footage.
- Support video editing, sound enhancement, graphics integration, subtitles, and content packaging.
- Prepare content for television, social media, and digital distribution platforms.
Technical Innovation & Mentorship
- Support livestreaming, digital broadcasting, and multimedia innovation initiatives.
- Recommend and help implement improvements in production workflows and technology use.
- Train and guide young creatives on equipment use and studio procedures; mentorship of emerging talent is a core part of Vorm’s mission and an explicit expectation of this role, not an incidental task.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Film Production, Media Technology, Broadcasting, Multimedia, ICT, or a related field.
- Minimum two years of practical experience in media production or studio operations.
- Demonstrated experience operating professional cameras, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Candidates must demonstrate competence in the following core areas:
- Videography and camera operation.
- Video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent).
- Studio lighting techniques.
- Audio recording and sound management.
- Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a creative team.
Desirable Skills & Attributes
