Role Overview
We’re looking for a sharp, highly organized Marketing Assistant and PA to support the Head of Marketing and Brand. This hybrid role blends executive assistance with tactical marketing execution, supporting everything from calendar management to content creation, campaign coordination, influencer and partnership management, and performance marketing.
You’ll work closely with leadership, content teams, and external collaborators to help build a vibrant, trend-forward brand that resonates with young Africans. This is a hands-on role for someone creative, strategic, and not afraid to get their hands dirty.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Campaign Execution
- Assist in planning and rolling out marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels.
- Coordinate and track deliverables with internal teams, influencers, creatives, and partners.
- Support campaign calendar management and ensure timely execution of tasks.
- Participate in the ideation, production, and execution of brand activations and events.
Performance Marketing & Content Creation
- Assist in setting up, monitoring, and optimizing digital ad campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.).
- Track campaign KPIs (ROAS, CTR, engagement, conversions) and generate performance reports.
- Contribute to content development—copywriting, scripting, and coordinating creative assets.
- Manage content calendars and support the distribution of content across digital platforms.
Graphics Design & Social Media
- Create simple visual assets (social posts, email headers, presentation slides, etc.).
- Collaborate with designers for high-quality campaign visuals and brand content.
- Support community engagement and daily management of social media platforms.
Influencer & Partnership Management
- Source, onboard, and manage influencer relationships and campaign integrations.
- Handle day-to-day communication, follow-ups, and tracking influencer deliverables.
- Support B2B meetings with potential partners, distributors, and sponsors.
- Help build and maintain strategic brand partnerships and collaborations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in a marketing or assistant role (agency/start-up experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Canva or Adobe Suite, and social media analytics tools.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A creative mindset with attention to detail and aesthetics.
