Job Summary

You will be responsible for new customer recruitment and customer growth by building strong and long-lasting relationships with customers. You will follow the policies and procedures of customer centric approach in compliance with Harmony Nutri Foods Limited's established Sales standards. You will ensure that you understand our target customer needs and identify opportunities for market growth in your assigned territory.

Job Description/Requirements

Harmony Nutri Foods Limited which is the manufacturer of Harmony Pot Water is looking for competent, skilled and purposeful Market Developers to identify and develop new market opportunities for Harmony products in various parts of Uganda.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

• Actively seek out and obtain new accounts through effective merchandising of the market outlets to identify target customers.

• Recruit and on-board stockists along the route plans.

• Connect new customers and existing customers to the stockists for efficient delivery.

• Generate sleepover orders from customers as per the route to market journey plan.

• Activate and support new and existing customers with point-of-sale materials like posters.

• Actively seek out and obtain new accounts through effective merchandising of the market outlets to identify target customers.

• Organize shelves and displays of products attractively to draw customers' attention. Update displays to align with seasons, holidays, or promotional campaigns.

• Keep an eye on competitors' merchandising strategies and benchmark best practices.

• Keep shelves neat and clean to create an appealing shopping environment and remove expired, damaged, or defective products are promptly removed.

• Develop and analyze the customer database for sales growth. Report writing related to sales and the market.

• Any other duties assigned to you as and when they arise.

Typical Background, Experience & Requirements; 

  • Advanced Certificate of Education, diploma and a degree.
  • Minimum of two years in Sales and marketing experience, preferably with a busy and dynamic business environment.
  • Proficient in Excel and experience with Word and PowerPoint.
  • You must be 20-30 years of age.
