LEASING SUPERVISOR at Ultra Uganda Ltd

Job Purpose:
The job holder is responsible for managing and coordinating operations of all leased equipment, including their maintenance and repair activities. This role involves ensuring lease documentation aligns with negotiated terms, guiding maintenance personnel, and monitoring equipment performance.

Scope of Duties:

  • Oversee the entire life-cycle of the rental leasing process, from client consultations to equipment preparation, inspections, and maintenance scheduling.
  • Provide training and consultation to clients regarding new systems or product offerings.

Reporting Lines:
This position reports directly to the Manager, Technical Services.

Cross-functional Working Relationships:

  • Resolve inventory or payment-related issues with the Finance department.
  • Provide technical input for sales pitching and bid preparation with the Sales & Marketing department.

Extent of Authority:
All financial transactions must adhere to the company’s authorization matrix of approval limits.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualification & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BSc.) or related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in equipment asset management.
    • Experience with large-scale machinery and equipment.

Complementing Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of equipment/product offerings and documentation procedures.
  • Expertise in lease management practices, such as optimizing equipment value and ROI.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

  1. Manage day-to-day lease operations while ensuring optimal production levels.
  2. Oversee client portfolios, resolving lease terms, billing, accounting, and end-of-lease issues.
  3. Collaborate with clients and internal departments to address equipment-related concerns.
  4. Coordinate with the Finance department to ensure accurate billing and payment collection.
  5. Manage lease renewals and negotiate terms with existing tenants.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends to make informed adjustments to leasing operations.
  7. Build a network of equipment vendors, brokers, dealers, and buyers to enhance resale opportunities.
