About ACCAST Systems Ltd

ACCAST Systems Ltd is a software development company and the developer of ACCAST Online, a webbased business  management and accounting solution used by organizations to manage accounting, finance, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, loans, and other business processes. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Junior Software Support Officer to support system users, troubleshoot issues, and participate in the ongoing enhancement of our software solutions. Position: Junior Software Support Officer

Location: Kampala, Uganda

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to users of ACCAST Online.
• Investigate and resolve software issues reported by clients.
• Perform minor enhancements and modifications to PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL code.
• Test software updates and new features before deployment.
• Assist in database maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Prepare user guides, technical documentation, and support materials.
• Participate in software implementation, user training, and system demonstrations.
• Log, track, and follow up client support requests.
• Work closely with management to identify opportunities for system improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of PHP and MySQL is essential.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application development.
• Familiarity with SQL queries and database concepts.
• Knowledge of Git/GitHub will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
