Invitation to Bid
GIZ Uganda through the Sustainable Agriculture for Forest Ecosystems (SAFE) project, invites bids from competent and eligible firms to provide consultancy services for Countrywide Awareness Raising campaign on the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) through Radio and phone messaging.
The German government commissioned GIZ to implement Sustainable Agriculture for Forest Ecosystems (SAFE) in Uganda with co-funding from the EU and the Government of Netherlands. The project’s overall objective is to contribute to an inclusive transition towards deforestation-free, sustainable, and legal supply chains for selected commodities to the EU. The project supports the high value chain producers and other actors in meeting the requirements of the EU regulation by providing relevant information, support on regulation of traceability as well as forest monitoring approaches.

Important Information to Note
a. Failure to indicate the tender reference number in the subject may disqualify your offer directly as it may fail to be received in the tender box.
b. Late submissions will not be accepted.
c. d. Bids submitted with GIZ staff or other GIZ emails in copy shall be rejected.
e. Both Bids must be offered in PDF. Do not encrypt offers since they may be incompatible with GIZ software.
f. Use two separate emails to submit the technical and financial proposals. Submit the technical proposal in one email and the financial proposal in a separate email to avoid confusion. Each email shall bear the subject line, “83498735- Radio & SMS Awareness on EUDR -SAFE”.
g. Only use GIZ’s file transfer service at https://filetransfer.giz.de/ for submitting documents that exceed the default mail size of 30 MB. Using other forms of file transfer may risk your bid not being received.
h. Should you use the file transfer in (g) above, ensure you submit the password through an email message, before the bid submission deadline date and time. Failure to provide the password, your offer cannot be opened and will be disqualified automatically. The financial offer should be submitted in Uganda Shillings.
i. Failure to follow any of the above instructions may result in your offer being rejected.
GIZ reserves the right to cancel this process at any stage without informing the providers and without any obligation to refund the providers who will have participated in this tender process.
