Department Human Resource
Location Central, Kampala– Salaama Yard
Reports to Country Manager
Job Purpose
Proactive HR Officer responsible for managing HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and policy implementation, while providing administrative support for office operations, events, and correspondence.
Main Responsibilities
• Recruitment and selection;
Developing and posting job descriptions. Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates, managing the onboarding process for new hires. Conducting background checks and preparing offer letters.
• Training and development; Developing and implementing training programs, identifying training needs and coordinating training opportunities, and Supporting employee development and career growth
• Staff leave management on Ess system.
Manage, and approve employee time off, sick leave, and other types of absences.
• Assist with annual CSR Planning and execution.
• Staff welfare management and
• Custodian of all staff files and personnel information.
• Stock and stores management General Office management
• Performance Management:
Monitoring performance and staff appraisals
Academic and Professional Requirements
• Degree in Human Resource Management/Social Sciences /Psychology / Human Resource Management.
• 1-3 years of experience in HR management and administration.
• Computer Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint presentation) with
• High integrity and confidentiality Good interpersonal skills.
Competencesand skills
• Good team player, determined and outgoing.
• Have good report writing skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
