Duties:
- Support end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and contract administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and Uganda labour laws.
- Monitor and maintain employee attendance, leave, and payroll support data, ensuring timely updates and accurate reporting to management.
- Assist in coordinating training, performance appraisals, and staff development initiatives, contributing to workforce productivity and skill growth.
- Handle employee relations matters by providing guidance on HR policies, addressing grievances, and escalating complex issues to the HR Manager while maintaining confidentiality.
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation and compliance records, including contracts, disciplinary actions, and statutory requirements, ensuring readiness for internal and external audits.
Education
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• HR professional membership (HRMAU, CIPD, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience
• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in the hospitality or service industry (restaurants, hotels, catering, or retail).
• Proven experience handling HR administration, recruitment, and employee relations in fast-paced, customer-facing environments.
Skills &Competencies
• Excellent at planning and executing HR processes end-to-end.
• Solid knowledge of Uganda labour laws, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
