JOB DETAILS:
We are seeking proactive and dedicated Hub Operation Officers to join our plastic recycling
operations across various parts of Uganda. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient coordination
of plastic collection centres, managing data and reports, engaging communities, and supporting
logistics.
Job Purpose:
To oversee and coordinate daily operations at the recycling hub, ensuring compliance with
company and regulatory standards, maintaining the quality of materials received and processed,
managing inventory, and providing administrative and HR support. The role ensures operational
efficiency, timely reporting, and effective communication across departments to achieve the
hub’s production and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to company, statutory, and regulatory policies and standards.
- Collaborate daily with Recycling Supervisors and the Managing Director to review
performance, address challenges, and improve processes. - Oversee sorting and baling of PET scrap bottles on the same working day of receipt, ensuring
quality standards are met. - Monitor and report on supplier material quality, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports, including supply reports, supplier accounts, and
material receipts. - Track stock levels, coordinate procurement, and manage inventory storage and issuance.
- Oversee preparation of payment approvals, invoices, and GRNs, ensuring timely processing
by accounts. - Support HR with staff evaluations, payroll preparation, and basic administrative tasks.
- Maintain clear communication with all departments and ensure company updates are
effectively shared. - Uphold company integrity and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management,
Economics, or a related field. - Proven experience in operations, administration, or supply chain management
(manufacturing or recycling sector preferred). - Proficiency in the native language of the region/workstation is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in operations/manufacturing or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic accounting or ERP software.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
