JOB DETAILS:
Job Overview:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Training:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff.
- Train new hires on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and brand standards.
- Assign daily tasks and room assignments to room attendants.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
Quality Control:
- Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness standards.
- Address guest complaints regarding cleanliness and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and control inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
- Place orders for stock and manage budget for the department.
- Manage the lost and found process.
Operations:
- Maintain the room status report and coordinate with the Front Office regarding room availability.
- Prepare work schedules and manage staff attendance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma; Diploma/Certificate in Hospitality Management is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Senior Room Attendant in a hotel/healthcare setting.
- Excellent eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and PPE standards.
