Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

We are looking for competent, skilled and experienced HEALTH,SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT GRADUATE TRAINEE candidate to work in Kampala, Uganda Head Office.

Job Purpose

The HSE Officer Trainee will support the HSE Executive in implementing, monitoring, and improving Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across multiple projects. The role is designed to provide hands-on learning while ensuring

compliance with company HSE policies, legal requirements, and client standards across diverse operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of company HSE policies, procedures, and site- specific HSE plans across multiple projects.
• Support the HSE Executive in coordinating HSE activities for different project locations and HSE site visits.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with national HSE regulations, client requirements, and company standards.
• Support the identification of hazards and unsafe acts/conditions and assist in recommending corrective actions.
• Assist in preparing HSE reports, inspection checklists, statistics, and dashboards.
• Support incident, accident, and near-miss reporting, investigation, and documentation.
• Assist in organizing and delivering HSE inductions, inspections and safety awareness sessions.
• Support the promotion of a positive safety culture across all project teams.
• Assist in updating risk assessments, method statements, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

• Support monitoring of environmental controls such as waste management, spill prevention, and housekeeping.
• Carry out any other HSE-related duties as assigned by the HSE Executive.

Qualifications & Experience Essential

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HSE principles and legislation.
• Willingness to travel and work across multiple project sites.

Desirable

• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent (or currently pursuing).
