Role Description The FP&A Business Partner is a full-time, on-site role based in Kampala. This role is responsible for supporting strategic and operational decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The FP&A Business Partner will prepare regular management reports, analyze performance against targets, and provide insights on sales, margins, and operating costs. The role will work closely with commercial, operations, and supply chain teams to evaluate business cases, pricing, promotions, and inventory investments. The position will also support cash flow planning, scenario modeling, and continuous improvement of financial processes and tools, while ensuring adherence to company policies and financial controls.
Qualifications
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling.
- Proficiency with financial reporting tools and spreadsheets (e.g., advanced Excel, ERP systems, BI or dashboard tools).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and key performance indicators for distribution or FMCG businesses.
- Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights and communicate them effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong business partnering capabilities, including stakeholder management, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or business analysis, ideally within distribution, retail, or consumer electronics sectors.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
