JOB DETAILS:
Location: Kampala
Reports To: Sales Head (Mr. Cole)
Compensation: Competitive Salary (As per Market) + Performance-Based Commission
1. Role Objective
To build and lead a field sales team focused on:
Daily sales generation
Retail & reseller network development
Expanding market presence across Kampala
This role requires a strong balance of team management and on-ground sales execution.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Team Management & Development
- Support hiring and onboarding of field sales executives
- Train and guide team on product pitching and sales approach
- Set daily and weekly activity targets
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback
- Build a disciplined and performance-driven team culture
B. Sales Execution (On Ground)
- Ensure daily market visits by self and team
- Track:
- Client visits
- Orders generated
- Sales value
- Support team in closing deals and improving conversions
- Maintain consistency in daily sales activity
C. Distribution & Market Development
- Identify and onboard:
- Retail shops
- Resellers
- Small and mid-sized businesses
- Build long-term relationships for repeat business
- Support expansion into new areas and customer segments
D. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain simple daily reporting:
- Visits
- Orders
- Collections
- Conduct daily or weekly team check-ins
- Share market feedback and customer insights
E. Market Intelligence
- Track competitor pricing and product trends
- Identify fast-moving products and demand patterns
- Share insights to improve sales strategy
