Role Overview

We are seeking a Design Coordination Lead to oversee design coordination, BIM integration, and multidisciplinary collaboration across all projects. The role ensures that all design outputs are well-coordinated, constructible, climate-responsive, and compliant with Uganda’s regulatory frameworks, including those of the National Building Review Board (NBRB).

Key Responsibilities

Design Coordination Leadership

• Lead coordination of architectural and engineering design deliverables
• Ensure consistency of design intent across all project stages
• Review and align multidisciplinary inputs into coordinated outputs
• Enforce climate-responsive and constructible design principles

BIM Coordination & Digital Delivery

• Lead Revit-based BIM coordination across disciplines
• Manage model integration and clash detection processes
• Maintain data integrity, model standards, and coordination protocols
• Enforce BIM execution standards across projects

Statutory Approvals (NBRB)

• Coordinate submission processes for approvals and permits
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, consultants, and stakeholders

Quality Assurance & Constructability

• Conduct QA/QC reviews of drawings, models, and documentation
• Ensure design outputs are practical, coordinated, and buildable

Construction Phase Support

• Respond to RFIs and technical queries from site teams
• Support resolution of design and coordination issues during construction

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture OR Civil Engineering with a Diploma in Architecture
• Equivalent qualifications with strong design and BIM coordination experience will be considered

Experience

• Proven experience in design coordination, BIM workflows, and multidisciplinary project delivery
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and regulatory approval processes

Software Proficiency

• Autodesk Revit (Advanced)
• AutoCAD / ArchiCAD
• Lumion, Twinmotion, or similar rendering tools
