Job Summary: The Audit, Tax & Advisory Partner is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the growth, quality, and strategic direction of the firm’s audit, tax, and advisory practice. The Partner will lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team, manage a portfolio of clients across diverse sectors, and ensure the consistent delivery of technically excellent, commercially relevant, and professionally compliant engagements. The role calls for a commercially astute professional who combines deep technical expertise across audit, tax, and advisory disciplines with the ability to build lasting client relationships, develop talent, and contribute meaningfully to the firm’s Pan-African growth strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive business development and revenue growth by leading client acquisition efforts, expanding the firm’s portfolio across all service lines, and actively pursuing opportunities to cross-sell and upsell integrated audit, tax, and advisory solutions to both existing and prospective clients.
  • Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance across all audit, tax, and advisory engagements, ensuring that work is planned, executed, and concluded in full compliance with applicable professional standards, including ISA, IFRS, relevant tax legislation, and the firm’s internal quality control framework.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager and trusted advisor for clients within the assigned portfolio, maintaining strong, long-term relationships built on a deep understanding of each client’s business, sector, and strategic priorities, and ensuring consistently high standards of service delivery.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing multidisciplinary team by providing clear direction, ongoing mentorship and coaching, structured training, and opportunities for career progression, while working with HR to meet the team’s recruitment, performance, and professional development needs.
  • Ensure all client engagements are underpinned by well-structured work plans, clearly defined scopes, and appropriate resource allocation, with timely delivery and adherence to engagement budgets and profitability expectations.
  • Provide expert technical guidance across audit, tax compliance, tax advisory, and business advisory mandates, keeping clients and the team informed of relevant regulatory developments, changes in professional standards, and emerging best practices across the firm’s service lines.
  • Represent the firm in professional, industry, and business forums to strengthen market presence, contribute to the firm’s thought leadership positioning, and build relationships that support the long-term growth of the practice.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement within the practice by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, develop new offerings responsive to client and market needs, and embed a culture of quality, efficiency, and professional excellence.
  • Oversee the effective utilisation of the firm’s audit and workflow management systems and tools, and ensure that departmental processes and procedures are consistently implemented to maintain operational efficiency and uphold professional standards across all engagements.
  • Uphold and model the highest standards of professional ethics, integrity, and compliance with the firm’s policies, performance management framework, and applicable regulatory and legal obligations, while maintaining an active commitment to continuous professional development.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in audit, tax, or advisory, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a professional services environment.
