Role Overview

The Area Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing operations in Burundi, ensuring that our company's objectives are met through effective management and strategic planning. This position involves individual work with a direct supervisor and requires a proactive and dedicated approach to achieving results.

Position Details

Key Responsibilities

1. Review financial statements, sales, or activity reports to measure productivity and identify areas for improvement.

2. Set prices or credit terms for goods or services based on customer demand forecasts.

3. Direct or coordinate financial activities to maximize investments and increase efficiency.

4. Engage in sales floor work, assisting customers, and managing inventory.

5. Plan or direct sales promotions in coordination with other department managers.

6. Develop and implement product marketing strategies, including advertising campaigns.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Post-secondary diploma in relevant fields.
  • Required Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role.
  • Required Skills: Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Complex Problem Solving, Time Management.
  • Required Language Proficiency: Fluent in Swahili, with knowledge of French preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Preferred Duties: Direct administrative activities related to product/service provision.
    • Prepare staff work schedules and assign duties.
    • Coordinate financial activities for operational efficiency.
    • Preferred Skills: Speaking, Persuasion, Service Orientation.
    • Preferred Knowledge Areas: Economics and Accounting.
