Key Duties and Responsibilities:   

Collaborating with  fruit farmers to develop sustainable agricultural practices and promote environmental protection, and ensure that compost management practices are effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly and contributing to the long-term viability of agricultural systems.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of ICS: Implementation the Internal Control System (ICS) manual and farmer field diaries specifically for avocado.
• Organic Compliance: Conduct risk assessments of farm plots.
• Production Management: Provide technical guidance on avocado nursery management, grafting, soil health, and organic pest/disease control.
• Farmer Training: Lead training sessions for cooperative members on organic standards, buffer zone management, and post-harvest handling and governance.
• Traceability: Configure and manage digital traceability tools to ensure every avocado is traceable from the farm plot to the export crate.
• Audit Readiness: Act as the primary technical contact during external audits by certification bodies

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• A Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, soil & crop science or a related field.
• 2+years of hands-on experience as an Agronomist in Agro sectors is required.
• Proficiency in MS office, word, Excel and any ERPs is required.
