Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant intern located in Masindi. The Accountant intern will be responsible for day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and receivable. Additional tasks include assisting with budget preparation, performing reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. The role also involves maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting principles and practices
• Experience with financial transactions and bookkeeping
• Skills in budget preparation and financial report generation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
• Previous experience in the bakery or food industry is a plus
