Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, highly disciplined, and safety-conscious School Van Driver to join our school transit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, punctual, and reliable transportation of learners to and from school, maintaining a caring and secure environment onboard.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport students along designated routes, adhering strictly to pickup and drop-off schedules.
• Operate a manual transmission school van safely and defensively, strictly obeying all traffic laws and road regulations.
• Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (checking oil, water, tires, brakes, and lights).
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitization inside the van at all times.
• Manage student behavior professionally and ensure all safety rules (such as seatbelts and safe boarding) are observed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid Ugandan driving permit with the appropriate class for commercial/passenger vans.
• Technical Skills: Proven competency and extensive experience driving manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience: Previous experience working as a school driver, tour driver, or passenger transport operator is highly preferred.
• Attributes: Safety-conscious, highly punctual, self-disciplined, and possess a warm, friendly attitude toward children.
