Job Overview
Department: Primary Education Department
Employment Type: full time
Location: Kampala
Purpose of the Role
To provide strategic and academic leadership that enhances teacher training, curriculum delivery, educational innovation, and student success within the Primary Education Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic oversight for the department.
- Foster innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Ensure programs align with national standards and emerging trends.
- Oversee curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Guide development and delivery of science-related courses.
- Promote innovative teaching methodologies and technologies.
- Ensure teaching materials and methods remain current and effective.
- Mentor and support faculty members.
- Coordinate with other departments and external agencies.
- Monitor student progress and implement interventions where necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in a science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
- Teaching experience in primary and/or secondary education.
- Leadership experience in an academic or educational setting.
- Strong curriculum development skills.
- Knowledge of teacher training methodologies.
