Description

Bidco Uganda Limited is hiring Security Guard (4) to guard, patrol or monitor company premises to prevent theft, violence or violation of rules.

Reporting to: Security Supervisor

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly and ensuring that the environment is safe and secure.
• Safeguard staff, goods & property of the company at all times.
• Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols.
• Vigilance & surveillance to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities.
• Record goods/materials entering and leaving the company premises.
• Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to the Security Officer.
• Responding to emergency alarms and calls of security concerns such as fire, intrusion etc. and informing the relevant authorities
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the security supervisor / officer.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Applicant must hold minimum of two (2) principle passes at Uganda Advanced Certificate of  Education level (UACE), with at least a credit in English language at UCE level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to work in shifts and stand for long hours.
• High Level of Flexibility & Willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform any duties assigned.
• High level of physical & mental fitness.
• Knowledge of Computer &Ability to operate security systems, emergency equipment & CPR or first aid is of added advantage.

Competent applicants should submit; Application, Resume, Notarized academic transcript / Certificate, Copy of National ID, Certificate of good conduct from Uganda Police (must not be more than 6 months from date of issue), Recommendation letter from LC.1 of place of birth/residence, 2 Reference Letters from reputable persons or institutions.
