About Organisation:

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210. The Bureau is a key player in Commercial, Civil and Intellectual Property Rights Registration that facilitate private sector development and vital statistics for national planning.

 

Job Summary: To support the development and implementation of talent management, organisational culture, employee engagement and performance management initiatives in order to strengthen staff capability and enhance institutional effectiveness.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of talent management policies, strategies and guidelines aimed at attracting, developing and retaining competent human resources.
  • Supporting workforce planning processes including analyzing staffing needs, identifying skills gaps and providing technical input in recruitment process.
  • Coordinating the implementation of the performance management framework, monitoring performance appraisal processes and supporting performance improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting the implementation of learning and development programmes through conducting training needs assessments and coordinating staff capacity development initiatives.
  • Supporting succession planning and leadership development programmes through identifying potential successors and assisting in the development of staff career progression initiatives.
  • Implementing employee engagement and organisational culture initiatives aimed at improving employee motivation, productivity and workplace relations.
  • Supporting the implementation of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to promote a fair and inclusive work environment.
  • Collecting and analyzing data on talent management programmes and initiatives to support monitoring and evaluation of organisational performance.
  • Providing technical support in the development and review of talent management policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • An Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences, Arts (Arts), Commerce, Business Administration (Management Option) or any related field from a recognised University or institution.
  • A Master’s Degree in either Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organisational Development or Public Administration from a recognised University or institution.
  • Work Experience
  • At least six (6) years’ Working Experience in talent management, organisational culture, learning and development and performance management, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Senior Culture and Talent Management Officer or an equivalent level in a reputable public or private institution.
