Job Summary

The Track and Trace Officer will be responsible for monitoring and managing the movement of goods throughout the supply chain. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate tracking of shipments, identify and resolve any issues that may arise, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the real-time location and status of all shipments using tracking systems.
  • Proactively identify and address any delays, deviations, or issues affecting shipment progress.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve problems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipment activities in the tracking system.
  • Generate regular reports on shipment status, performance, and any identified trends.
  • Assist in the investigation of lost or damaged goods.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to tracking and tracing.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a track and trace, logistics coordination, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in using tracking software and other logistics management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the East African logistics landscape is an advantage.

Experience

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a track and trace or logistics coordination role.
