JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce all frozen desserts, including ice creams, sorbets, granitas, and frozen yogurts.
- Create unique and innovative flavors that complement the menu.
- Operate and maintain ice cream makers, pasteurizers, and other specialized equipment.
- Ensure proper freezing, storage, and handling of all frozen products.
- Coordinate with the Pastry Chef to create cohesive dessert offerings.
- Manage the inventory of ingredients specific to frozen desserts.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a pastry kitchen, with specific experience in frozen desserts.
- Knowledge of the science of freezing, emulsification, and flavor balancing.
- Creativity and a passion for developing new flavors.
- Attention to detail to achieve the perfect texture and consistency.
- Formal pastry training is highly beneficial.
